New LEGO Legends of Chima Sets!
New LEGO Legends of Chima Sets!
Written by, Geneva – gid617
Sometime in December or January, LEGO is going to release a brand new theme whose main characters are all animals: Legends of Chima.
However, a German store has already listed most of them, and included the pictures! Like LEGO Ninjago, this theme will have both sets and some spinner-like contraptions. Sadly, there are no descriptions (at least not that I could find), so I’ll just give you my take on each of the sets.
The first one is Razcal’s Raven Glider:
#70000 Razcal’s Raven Glider - This one has some nice wing pieces (both on the glider and the minifigure, but I think it looks too much like a helicopter cockpit instead of a Raven.
#70001 Crawley’s Reptile Grabber – I like the idea, but the middle section needs some more pieces – it looks really empty right after the front treads!
#70002 Lennox’s Lion Buggy – For some reason it reminds me of the skull truck! But it seems like the yellow is not bright yellow but a slightly different newer color that’s still pretty rare!
#70003 Eris Eagle Jet – Except for the boxy legs, this one looks really neat! And some nice dark blue! For some reason, Eris (and Equila) strike me as girl names. . .
#70004 Wakz Wolf Tracker – This one really captures the look of a wolf! And with a spring-loaded shooter on top too!
#70005 Laval’s Lion Quad - Again, it seems to be the new color yellow. Apparently, this one is supposed to look like a crouching lion, and to me at least it does! The mane also looks a lot better on this one than on the Lion Buggy.
#70006 Craggers Croc-Boat Center – This one looks a bit too much like a squashed crocodile with a tiny tail and bloated eyes. But if you’re in to building army vehicles this has just the right color!
#70013 Equila’s Ultra Striker – This is my favorite of what we’ve seen so far. The wings open on both sides, and there are even claws on front! Plus, the front does a good job of looking like an eagle’s beak!
Apparently, there is also supposed to be a #70012 Razars Chi Raider, but we haven’t got the picture for that one yet.
So, how do you like Legends of Chima so far? Do any of the sets stand out to you? Feel free to share your comments and questions below!

Great article Geneva! These new sets look awesome!
You can get the set descriptions here: http://brickextra.com/2012/10/05/lego-ninjago-2013-set-descriptions/
Hmm. As far as I can tell, those are just Ninjago set descriptions. Are there LoC descriptions as well?
I’ve got some pics for you!
